Better Energy Homes grants from the SEAI for smart heating controls

These grants are aimed at encouraging Irish households to invest in sustainable, energy efficient home improvement projects and as a registered SEAI contractor you could help your customers to reduce energy use, save money, minimise greenhouse gas emissions and improve comfort levels within their home.
The objectives of the scheme are to:
- Support homeowners in making intelligent choices to improve the energy performance of their home
- Reduce energy use, costs and greenhouse gas emissions
- Build market capacity and competence by driving contractor standards and quality
- Stimulating market innovation
The incentives are paid as cash grants on completion of the work and are fixed, irrespective of home size. Payment is made electronically direct to the customer’s bank account once all of the grant criteria have been met.
