Brewers Close puts you right in the heart of Dublin’s historical Liberties area, packed with culture, nightlife and shopping. Located beside its sister building, New Mill, residents are able to access the social spaces in both residences, including study rooms, games rooms and gyms the space to relax and study in.

The Brewers Close student accommodation is managed by Yugo and they are here to make students feel comfortable and at home with the coziest of fully furnished rooms with compact double beds, study desks, wardrobes, and a private attached bathroom. It is comprised of 5 blocks with 235 Student beds. The project team overcame challenges arising from the Covid-19 industry lockdowns and supply chain disruptions to successfully deliver a high-quality student accommodation offering in the heart of Dublin city.

To compliment this modern student development, an innovative and expertly designed lighting plan was developed by our Sligo CT Electric branch working closely with their electrical contractor.

The Lighting Project

With a strong focus on quality, the electrical installation was completed by O’Neill Mechanical & Electrical who worked with the CT Electric Sligo staff, to deliver this modern studentaccommodation project. A complete lighting design needed to be developed to ensure the right amount of light fittings were placed in the correct locations around the site in order to fulfil the potential of this rejuvenated space.

The Kellihers lighting specialist team worked closely with O’Neills to supply and deliver the quality light fittings seen throughout the Brewers Close Student Accommodation. There was a challenge to make sure any plan would complement the protected structures of No.10 Mill Street which was restored as part of the project. We believe the bespoke lighting solutions supplied and installed are in keeping with the character of this regeneration project.

Expert lighting supplier Southgate Lighting worked closely with the Sligo team to provide their trademark quality LED light fittings that help complement the outdoor and indoor areas of this modern new student development. Our Sligo team also supplied decorative lighting such pendant lighting, internal bespoke lights and external bollards from Lira Lighting, Fatboy and Muuto.

Additionally, our Sligo team working in partnership with skilled electrical installers like O’Neills along with suppliers like Southgate,
Lira Lighting and Muuto showcases how Kellihers/CT Electric can supply complete lighting solutions whatever the project.
